About the IFS

The ‘Innovation for Society Awards’ is an Open Innovation Competition, organized and run by the ‘One Stop Liaison Office’ of the Region of Central Macedonia, under the RoP ERDF co-funded Programme ‘Central Macedonia 2021-2027’. The scope of this initiative is to strengthen the economic and social cohesion of the Region, by addressing the challenges and enhancing the businesses’ competitiveness, while is in alignment with the European Commision’s policy objective for a ‘more competitive and smarter Europe’.

In addition, the Region of Central Macedonia, through the Competition, aims towards networking expansion and cooperation among businesses, local research hubs and start-ups of the ecosystem, since the development of innovative products and services could establish new jobs in the region and support the entrepreneurship.
